EMERGENCY MEDICAL RESPONDER

This 48-hour course provides students with the critical life-saving skills of an entry-level medical responder. Students will train in basic life support and resuscitation and get an introduction to the current clinical best practices for some of the most common emergencies. Our instructors administer an array of rigorous scenario-based evaluations to test your proficiency as a team and individually.

FIRST AID CPR AND AED TRAINING

PREREQUISITE: NONE
4 HRS 

This 4-hour American Heart Association course equips students with the critical life-saving skills of a layperson responder. Participants will learn how to correctly identify the presence of an emergency, activate the emergency response system, and administer simple yet potent first-aid techniques that are proven to improve patient outcomes. We will explore many common emergencies and conditions that result in 911 calls and the science of resuscitation in cardiac arrest.

This half-day course trains participants in how to recognize, call for help, and treat common first aid emergencies. This course reflects science and education from the American Heart Association Guidelines.

EMR Recertification

Continuing Education/Recertification Course for Emergency Medical Responders (EMR)

Roco Rescue Emergency Medical TrainingThis 16-hour continuing education course reviews and expands on the core principles and techniques employed by Emergency Medical Responders. Students will focus primarily on human physiology, new trends in prehospital patient care, and emergency operations. The course includes a BLS provider recertification through the American Heart Association and is state approved through the Louisiana Bureau of EMS.
