Description

The Petzl ASAP Lock Mobile Fall Arrester provides constant fall protection for rescuers and those in work at height situations. Under normal circumstances, the ASAP Lock follows users wherever they go without any manual operation, so users have both hands free to do their job. However, in the event of a slip or a sudden descent, the fall arrester holds the user in place, stopping the fall and keeping the user safe. The key to the system lies in its unique engineering; a sudden downward movement triggers the internal locking wheel to compress the rope, stopping the fall. The device, which can be placed anywhere on the rope, locks even if the user grabs it during the fall. The integrated locking function allows the user to immobilize the device in order to reduce the length of a fall. The connection arm makes the system drop-resistant when passing intermediate anchors. The ASAP LOCK is used with an energy absorber to work at a distance from the rope. It is certified to U.S., European, and Russian standards.
