CMC Rescue Rope – Static-Pro Lifeline, 1/2″

Description

CMC Rescue Static-Pro Lifeline 1/2 in (12.5mm) is made of 100% High Tenacity Polyester (HTP) fiber. It is a kernmantle rope, so it has an interior core that provides tensile strength, surrounded by a woven exterior sheath designed for optimal strength, flexibility and durability. Engineered with very low-stretch capability, so that at 300 lbf, stretch is less than 2%. This makes it a great choice for long rappels, high lines, and many mechanical advantage haul systems. Polyester fiber ropes resist acids better than nylon, making it the preferred option for acidic environments.

In the event that the rope gets wet, there is no increase in weight or loss of strength (as is common in other ropes) due to the properties of the polyesther fibers.
