Brad Duplessis is Roco Rescue’s Director of CSRT (Contracted Safety and Rescue Teams) and Business Development. In this role, he oversees the standby rescue teams that safeguard workers in hazardous industrial settings nationwide, handling both operations and business development. He also works full-time as a firefighter – he is a Captain with the Baton Rouge Fire Department.
Brad became a firefighter in 1996 and has been at Roco Rescue since 1997. Although it’s been challenging at times to juggle two careers, the medical and emergency response training Brad received at the Department has positively impacted his work at Roco Rescue, and the technical rescue training he has access to at Roco Rescue helps him in his job as a firefighter. “I’m very blessed,” he says, “to have two jobs I enjoy so much.”
Brad is a Certified Rescue Technician, EMT, and Certified Occupational Safety Specialist (COSS). He also holds certifications as a Firefighter 1-2, a Hazmat Technician, and the OSHA 30 for General Industry. He lives and works in Baton Rouge and when he isn’t working (which is rare) he enjoys exercising, getting outside, and spending time with his three daughters.
