INDUSTRIAL ROPE ACCESS
24 HRS / THREE 8-HR DAYS
This 24-hour course is designed for workers who are required to employ safe work practices in the vertical environment. It incorporates lightweight, versatile, and safety-proven techniques and equipment to access to areas of work that would be infeasible using traditional methods such as scaffolds, man-lifts, or swing stages.
State-of-the-art descent control and vertical ascent equipment and techniques are used to provide OSHA-compliant work positioning systems that are always backed up by a redundant fall arrest system. Course topics include: anchor selection and rigging principles, edge negotiation, controlled descent, vertical ascent, four line transfers for precise positioning, safety line procedures (self-belay with automatic rolling fall arrestor), self-rescue, buddy rescue, and top crew rigging and emergency procedures.
