Prerequisites: Rescue I-PLUS or
Industrial Rescue I/II™
Location: Roco Training Center
Baton Rouge, Louisiana
The primary focus of this 50-hour course is more complex confined space scenarios along with elevated (high angle) rescue operations. Building upon the core skills learned in Rescue I-Plus™ or Industrial Rescue I/II™, this course provides the additional skills needed and concludes with testing to the individual performance skills requirements listed in NFPA 1006 and 1670 (Confined Space Technician Level).
Technician-level skills and team response capabilities will be enhanced by extensive hands-on teaching stations and realistic problem-solving exercises, including on-air, simulated IDLH scenarios. This certification testing to a national consensus standard (such as NFPA) is an excellent means of documenting individual skills proficiency in accordance with OSHA 1910.146.
Rescue Tech II™ will prepare students for Roco’s Confined Space Rescue Technician certification testing, which includes individual skills proficiency, scenario-based performance evaluations and written exam. Roco certifications are valid for two years and can be renewed by completing our Rescue Tech II™ Recertification program.
NOTE: This course also contains many of the individual skill requirements of NFPA 1006 and 1670 (Rope Rescue Technician Level) with the exception of select skills such as rope ascension, high-lines and knot passing.
