Roco Rescue’s 20 hr – Two Day Roco Rescue from Scaffolding is hosted at the world renowned Roco Training Center (RTC) in Baton Rouge, LA. With a new, state of the art three story scaffold prop, students will work in a controlled, safe environment while learning to move people and patients in the dynamic and often dangerous world of scaffolding. Students will have access to the entire Roco Training Center and its entire gamut of real-world training scenarios.

Students will learn basic knot craft, lowering systems and simple mechanical advantage systems while moving patients through the purpose-built scaffold prop. By permanently attaching the scaffold system to the RTC, the associated risk of unstable scaffolding is eliminated, allowing students to focus on evaluating how to ascend the scaffold and where they can safely attach systems. Rescuers will learn to differentiate double ledgers, single ledgers, rosettes and crossbars and how those parts interact with a safely anchored rope system.

Students will learn how to package and lower a patient in a stokes basket. They will also execute scenario-based rescues based on real events.

This class can also be delivered at your location, using scaffold already in service at your locale.
