Certification to NFPA 1006 Confined SpaceThis Fast-Track™ course combines Roco’s Urban/Industrial Rescue Essentials™ and Confined Space Rescue Technician providing Confined Space Rescue Technician certification in only 70 hours. This accelerated course begins with core skills and concludes with certification testing to meet the job performance requirements listed in NFPA 1006 and 1670 for Confined Space Technician level. Testing to a national consensus standard, such as NFPA, is also an excellent means of documenting individual skills proficiency in accordance with OSHA 1910.146.
The course quickly advances students to more complex confined space rescue scenarios along with elevated or high angle operations. Rescue response capabilities are enhanced by extensive hands-on learning stations and realistic problem-solving exercises, including on-air, simulated IDLH scenarios.
Roco’s certification testing includes individual skills proficiency, scenario-based performance evaluation and written exam. This certification is valid for two years and can be renewed by completing our Recertification program.
