Knowing your rescue knots, rigging systems, etc, will undoubtedly help you do your job as a rescuer, but let’s not forget about the patient! Ultimately, we learn all these skills so that when the time comes, we might be able to help save someone’s life, so don’t forget to keep fresh on your basic medical training. Keep your first aid and CPR skills fresh, and know how to use an AED. We highly recommend regular practice and refresher training of your medical skills.
