Developed specifically for the DoD, Roco’s tactical programs are designed to provide innovative techniques for teams operating with limited manpower and equipment.
Focused on the needs of special operators, this training will enhance safety and efficiency when faced with a variety of challenging environments, such as confined spaces and structural collapse.
This course is 80% hands-on learning with extensive use of realistic scenarios for applying skills learned. Technician testing requires the successful completion of a written exam and performance skills evaluation. Roco certifications include: Confined Space, Rope Rescue and Structural Collapse Technician based on the professional qualification guidelines of NFPA 1006. Program qualifies for 15 CME hours.
Confined Space topics: Roco Insertion/Extraction System (RIES), atmospheric monitoring, mechanical advantage systems, anchoring and rigging, single-line litter lowers and medical considerations.
Structural Collapse topics: Scene assessment, building triage, search patterns, emergency shoring, moving heavy objects, breaching and breaking and air bag deployment.
