Rope Tech II Certification

Prerequisites: Rescue I / Rescue I-Plus
This advanced level course will build upon the core skills learned in Rescue I-Plus and complete the skill requirements of NFPA 1006 and 1670 for Rope Technician Level II. The primary focus of this course will be more complex elevated (high angle) operations, but it also includes technical skills for confined space operations as well. Added or expanded Rope Technician skills will include rope ascension, highline systems and knot passing. Team response capabilities will be enhanced by extensive problem-solving exercises. Hands-on teaching and practice stations will prepare students for certification testing, which includes individual skills proficiency, scenario-based performance evaluations and written exam. Roco's technician certification is valid for two years.
