This spinal immobilization/extrication device meets all established criteria for immobilizing a “seated” patient. An ideal companion to the Sked® Stretcher, the Oregon Spine Splint (OSS) provides safe removal of the patient while protecting the spine. The unique crisscrossing shoulder strap provides superior immobilization without restricting breathing. The OSS provides easy access to chest and/or abdominal area for treatment or diagnostics. It includes a shoulder board which can be used to prevent compression of the shoulders when using a flexible stretcher.
